Rock anchors and slope stabilisation: Post tensioned soil nails, rock anchors, and slope plane reinforcement with corrosion protection as per BS 8081-1989 & EN 1537.
Retaining Walls: Cantilevered or tied back retaining walls for commercial or residential applications in timber or steel; sprayed concrete and rock anchors; concrete or timber crib walls, rock fall netting, and contiguous or secant walls.
Excavation and earthworks: Specialist excavation and earthworks for commercial and residential sites, including tree felling, undergrowth and site clearing, detailed excavations and bulk soil removal; demolition of buildings and structures; site works; cartage; trenching, and driveways, with either sealed and rota milling surfaces.
Demolition: Today, residential and commercial demolition requires strict health and safety, quality assurance and environmental management. Hard Rock can provide structural demolition (large & small); hand demolition with hand held hydraulic crushers and breakers; refurbishments (building strip outs); concrete cutting for walls, floors and pavements, and careful management and controls.
Piling: Augured displacement piles up to 1000dia. Piling of new buildings and strengthening of existing foundations, can be carried out with a range of our machinery and professional knowledge and expertise.
Micro piling: Driven micro-piling to suit limited access sites where additional bearing is required.
Drilling: Both vertical and horizontal drilling for rock anchors and/or foundations, piles or cantilevered structures.
Seismic reinforcement: Ground anchors are a simple solution for strengthening existing structures. These can be for buildings or structures. Ground anchors offer both uplift resistance and additional bearing if required.
Post Tensioning and testing: Testing anchors using hydraulic jacks is the preferred way to ensure the anchorage meets design loads.
Tree and debris removal: Hard Rock can provide an industrial vegetation removal service with our mobile mulch unit.
Building services: Hard Rock can help with building retaining walls; installing rock anchors; dig and/or drilling holes; building driveways; car pads; access tracks; ground levelling; cut and back filling; and trenching.
Professional, practical expertise: Hard Rock personnel have the experience and knowledge to solve a number of technically difficult problems that may be associated with geotechnical unstable areas. We can also provide quotes on original plans, or we can collaborate with your engineering team to create an economic solution when seeking consents or engineering solutions.
